How did you choose the name 505?
505 is the area code for the state of New Mexico, we make all our products in Albuquerque, and no — we will not be changing our name if the area code changes.
Is it chili or chile?
Chili is a stew-like soup made with meat, chiles and/or chili powder, and any number of additions like tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, beans, etc. Cincinnati chili has a thinner consistency and is usually served over spaghetti with some of the common spices: cinnamon, chocolate or cocoa, allspice, and Worcestershire. Chile is the fruit of a pepper plant — jalapeno chile pepper, green chile, chile rellenos, etc. That is why we use chile.
What do you do with Green Chile Sauce?
Our Green Chile Sauce is made with flame-roasted green chile grown in the rich soils of Southern New Mexico. Our Green Chile Sauce is fat free, low sodium, gluten free and made with all-natural ingredients — no preservatives. It is loaded with natural vitamins and has 30% of the daily recommended amount of Vitamin C in each serving. What do you do with Red Chile Sauce?
The process is the same as with Green Chile Sauce. Red chile pods are the same green chile pods that have matured and dried on the vine. We make it the old-fashioned way by cooking the dried pods and blending it all together for a smooth, rich sauce. A different flavor than green but traditional New Mexican all the way! Make Carne Adovada that is out of this world or add to your "Texas Chili" for killer Frito Pie. It comes 16 oz. in one pleasant and full bodied medium heat.

In addition to roasted green chile, we add just enough jalapenos and seasonings to put a smile on your face. Our Salsas are fat free, gluten free and made with all-natural ingredients and no preservatives. We are one of the few salsas made without onions. Enjoy with chips, dips, salads... or on eggs, chicken, burgers, pasta, and potatoes, in addition to the traditional use on burritos, enchiladas and tacos. What do you do if you can't decide between red or green?
You order both, which is called "Christmas". Half the plate is smothered in red chile sauce and half is smothered in green chile sauce. A true celebration of roasted chile flavor!

Our award-winning Southwestern Marinade is excellent for grilling; baste on beef, pork, chicken, tofu or veggies while grilling for a taste treat! How long can we keep bottles of 505 sauce or salsa on the pantry shelf?
The labels clearly state "Best Before" dates – 2 years from the date it was made. The single serves are also dated for use within 18 months.
How long can we keep bottles of 505 Southwestern Sauce or Salsa in the refrigerator?
As printed on the label, "Refrigerate and use within 3 weeks of opening". Remember, our stuff is all natural and not loaded with preservatives.
