ALBUQUERQUE, NM "And the winner is.. 505 Organic Chunky Salsa!" In a state known as the Chile and Salsa capital of the world,
this year¹s winner at the New Mexico State Fair is Albuquerque¹s own 505 Southwestern.
39 Salsa companies lined up for a blind taste test conducted by the New Mexico Department of Agriculture.
Over 700 people cast their ballots and the only Certified Organic Salsa in the contest came out above the rest. 505 Southwestern, a New Mexico Chile and Salsa producer, entered its Organic Chunky Salsa and was crowned the 2006 State Fair Salsa of the year.
"This is an incredible honor," said Roy Solomon Owner of 505 Southwestern. "We are the only Certified Organic
Salsa in the State and are proud of our Quality. The State Fair award helps to prove that in addition to our Quality,
our Taste is a New Mexico Favorite. We have many great Salsas in our State. Earning this award is a tribute to my
associates who have spent the past 10 years ensuring our consistent quality. Everyone knows Organic foods are good
for our bodies and the environment but 505 Salsas have an award winning taste. Our Green Chile Sauce and Fajita Marinade
are 2006 Scovie award winners".

Sauce to Our Troops in Iraq. New Mexico's Governor Bill Richardson said "Green Chile is our official state crop, we wanted t
